General Manager, Office of Industry Advocate

Phillip’s position as General Manager – Industry Participation is responsible for the monitoring and compliance of all State Government funded projects, where Industry Participation Plan commitments are made by lead contractors. These Industry Participation Plans detail the lead contractors (and the subsequent supply-chain’s) commitments relating to South Australian employment, supply inputs and capital investments through the projects delivery that provide economic benefit to South Australia.
 
From and advocacy perspective the function of the role is also to increase the number and diversity of South Australian based businesses winning government contracts.  The South Australian Industry Participation Policy and the Industry Advocate Act 2017 underpin the functions of the Industry Advocate as an independent statutory office.
